Canadian Electric Tattoo Scene Book

Canada has a rich and colourful history to learn about. It’s a story that has yet to be told. This set of three books will feature 375 Canadian tattoo artists & the significant history they have contributed. We are standing on the shoulders of our ancestors and each other.

This project began in 2008 when I set out to interview tattoo artists across Canada. Since then, I have travelled coast to coast twice and dedicated thousands of hours to this endeavour. I aim to publish this project by 2028. Initially, I envisioned it as one book. However, given the volume of incredible artists and information, it has evolved into a set of three books.

Each book will feature profiles of Canadian tattoo artists from various time periods.
Volume One: 1900 – 1970s
Volume Two: 1980 – 2000
Volume Three: 2000 – 2025
